James E. Johnston, M.S. - Trial Consultant
Jim received a Master of Science degree in psychology from the University of Maastricht, the Netherlands with a specialization in psychology & law including decision-making, lie-detection, and memory. He utilizes his in-depth knowledge of scientific research methodologies to develop and implement empirical jury research protocols. Jim has expertise in survey construction, scale design, sampling techniques, statistical juror profiling analysis, and conducting shadow juries. Mr. Johnston has worked on hundreds of cases all over the country including products liability, patent infringement, personal injury, wrongful death, construction, insurance, medical and legal malpractice well in excess of a billion dollars in exposure. Jim is a member of the American Society for Trial Consultants (ASTC) and the American Psychology-Law Society (AP-LS).
